Internship Opportunities for ROTC Students
Materials Science in Extreme Environments Consortium
sponsored by
Defense Threat Reduction Agency
The Defense Threat Reduction Agency is currently sponsoring a consortium of 18 institutions and 35 principal investigators for research in Chemical Agent Defeat and Nuclear Fireball analysis.
The Materials Science in Extreme Environments Consortium has funds available to sponsor ROTC cadets in research during the summer and/or during the academic semester. These internships would involve activity in primary research activities in one of the laboratories of a principal investigator. Commitment levels (hours per week) can be variable, and the internship can be paid (approx. $15/hr) or offered for academic credit. Starting dates can be flexible, but there are a limited number of positions available each term. Interested students are encouraged to reach out to the faculty at any time before or during the semester.
For more specific information on research topics, see the links below under each investigator, and contact that person for further information.
